Simon Says Sweden
Simon Says debuted with Ceinwen in 1995. They since have released three albums: Paradise Square (2002), Tardigrade (2008)
and Siren Songs (2011).
Their music is rooted in the mid 70:s blend of classical, jazz, folk and rock, but with a modern edge, weighing heavily on an array of keyboards, odd time signatures and multiple melodies.
Contractual obligations allow only two releases on this site.

This might be the least folky of the Wobbler releases and I wasn't sure about it at all. After a few listens however I'm loving the inventiveness and the endless melodies, all driven along by Kristian Hultgren's wonderful percussive bass.

The lyrics alone are outstanding. The album doesn't "flow" as good as their latest album Amazingous, but instead offers more experiments and stays even more quirky. A track like "Teddy Bears" predates what will be A.M.A.Z.I.N.G a few years later. Really, a must-have for any fan of awesome pop/rock/exerimental stuff.
